The Hairy Bikers need your help to win a national award.

The TV and cooking duo are up for the Fortnum & Mason Food Personality of the Year Award for the fourth year in a row.

Si King responded to the news by discussing how much the recognition would have meant to his friend.

He said: "Dave was so proud of this award, particularly because it’s voted for by our loyal followers and fans, the people who matter most to us."

Dave died on February 28 this year following a prolonged battle with cancer.

Despite the tragic news, Si reassured fans that his memory would live on, with awards such as these serving as a reminder of the influence he leaves behind.

"It’s really strange for us all not to have Dave around but for now, we will keep posting on the Hairy Bikers socials to keep in touch with all those people who have been so kind over many years and particularly in recent weeks," Si added.

"We’ll also keep you updated on the events and projects which will live on and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at some of the Summer festivals this year."

The Fortnum & Mason Personality of the Year award pits a number of recognisable culinary faces against one another, leaving the public to decide who comes out on top.

The awards are designed to celebrate 'the faces who brought us the most passion, entertainment and appetite on TV or a mainstream platform over the past year'.

The Hairy Bikers are up against Big Zuu, James Martin, Jamie Oliver, Marcus Wareing, Mary Berry, Matt Tebbutt, Nadiya Hussain, Nisha Katona, Big Has and Poppy O'Toole, Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, Rick Stein, and Tom Kerridge.
