A MAN has been jailed after being caught in possession of a Class B drug.
James Weaver was found to have in his possession a quantity of cannabis in Windermere on September 29 last year.
The 44-year-old, whose address is listed as HMP Preston on court documents, was jailed for seven days at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 21.
Magistrates made the decision to jail the defendant because the offence was so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified.
No order for costs were made due to the imposition of a jail sentence and lack of means.
