A MAN who provoked unlawful violence has been ordered to complete unpaid work as punishment for the offence.
Harry Dutton, of Crescent Road in Windermere, pleaded guilty to using threatening / abusive / insulting words/behaviour towards a male in Ambleside on September 29 last year.
The 29-year-old admitted his actions would have resulted in the victim believing that immediate unlawful violence would be used by the defendant.
Dutton was made the subject of a 12-month community order with requirements to complete 60 hours of unpaid work at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 20.
The 29-year-old was also ordered to complete ten Rehabilitation Activity Requirement days, pay court costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
