Forestry England's Grizedale Forest is launching a new trail to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the acclaimed children's book, The Gruffalo.

Forestry England and Magic Light Pictures have been collaborating since 2014, enchanting families with the magical world of the Gruffalo within the deep, dark woods of the nation.

The birthday trail, launching on March 29, invites families nationwide to celebrate the Gruffalo's milestone by searching for missing party items and participating in fun and games along the way.

During the adventure, families will learn about the symbiotic relationships of plants and animals.

Set in 26 forest sites across England, the trails feature five large activity panels, two of which are interactive.

15 smaller spotter panels will challenge visitors to find hidden party items.

Art enthusiasts can take advantage of the five rubbing stations placed throughout the trail.

An optional trail pack will be available on site for purchase at £4.

The pack includes a festive party headband, activity leaflet, crayons, pencils, stickers and a keepsake woven Gruffalo patch.

The birthday trail promises to be a memorable experience, captivating Gruffalo enthusiasts of all ages amidst the scenic beauty of England's spectacular forests.
