CUMBRIA Police are investigating an assault where a man in his 60s was left with a 'serious injury' to his face. 

The incident took place in the Ormsgill Inn, Barrow, on Friday, March 22 at 11:45pm.

During the incident a man in his 60s was assaulted by a young male, believed to be in his 20s, causing serious injury to his face, said Cumbria Police.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or anyone with any information relating to the incident.
