TWO co-defendants are to appear in court charged with stealing coffee, a woolly hat and other food related items from two supermarkets in Barrow.
Lisa Beattie, 35, of Egerton Court in Barrow and Darren Hughes, 50, are said to have stolen £119.90 worth of food items belonging to Aldi Supermarket in the Hollywood retail park on January 9 this year.
The pair are also alleged to have stolen a woolly hat and three boxes of vanilla Nescafe coffee to the value of £9.05, belonging to B &M Home Store on Corner House Park on the same day in question.
They will appear at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 14 to indicate their plea to the charges.
