A food delivery driver was stopped by police on Sunday night (March 10) for not being insured.
The Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Team explained that they were continuing their efforts to improve road safety in the area.
In areas such as Ormsgill, recent resident surveys have outlined how 'road safety' is one of the main areas of concern in the region, prompting this police action.

A spokesperson from the Barrow NPT said: "We tonight continued our efforts to improve road safety.
"The driver of this vehicle, who was delivering food, was dealt with for driving with no insurance."
As a result of their investigations, the car was promptly towed away.
