UPDATE: The woman has now been found following a successful police appeal. Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance.
A woman in her fifties has gone missing from the Barrow area, having last been seen on Thursday.
Anita Dean, 56, has been missing from the Maylands Grove area since March 7, with police officers now appealing for information on her whereabouts.
She is described as being around 5ft 1in tall and slim, with short grey/brown hair.
She may be wearing a black jacket and blue jeans with calf length black boots, and is said to usually carry a grey shoulder bag.
It is believed Anita may have travelled to the St Annes area in Lancashire.

If Anita sees this appeal herself, she is urged to get in touch on the same number.
