A diving club based in Barrow has been forced to leave its local swimming baths due to 'rising costs'.

The Furness Diving Club announced the news on Saturday, March 9 but the 'sad news' does not necessarily mean the end of the group is near.

They said: "We are looking into hiring a pool to do training as and when the occasion arises.

"But we will be continuing training divers to higher grades, up to advanced divers."

For those interested in learning to dive on a regular basis, the group added that they would be more than happy to point them in the right direction towards other clubs.
