An artisan cafe in Dalton is looking to get back to its seven-day operation after a month of partial disruption.

The Chocolate Room, which can be found on Station Road, announced on January 28 that it would not be able to open on Mondays and Tuesdays due to a lack of staff.

However, from March 5, the business will once again be serving customers between Tuesday and Sunday from 9am until 4pm.

And, from March 25, the team is hoping to be back at its full capacity for the first time in nearly two months.

The owners said: "Thank you to everyone for your patience and sorry to everyone that has been coming on a Monday and Tuesday and we’ve not been there."

It has been a year of disruption for the business with renovations forcing it to be closed at the start of 2024 until January 24.

At long last, normality is thankfully returning for the duo of fine-dining chef Anthony Bennett his wife, and co-owner, Suzie.
