TV stars Helen Skelton and Gok Wan were spotted doing a shoot in Windermere at the Brew Room cafe, with the owner calling them 'lovely.'
A Windermere resident took a photo of the pair walking up Crescent Road to the Brew Room. The owner of the Brew Room confirmed that they had visited the cafe, and it was for a production that will be aired on Sky at some point this month.
Abbey Snookes (29) welcomed Gok and Helen to her cafe on 20 February, after her business had been scouted out months before by a member of their production team and chosen as a filming location.
She is unsure exactly what the TV show will be about.
"I feel very proud that they wanted to use my business," Abbey said. Her 'friendly' staff and the 'unique' decor of the cafe were elements that she thought attracted the production crew to the Brew Room.
Abbey said the film crew got shots of her making coffee and talking to the celebrities. She said: "They were very friendly, they came straight over to me and introduced themselves.
"I think for Windermere as a whole it's great. We had just finished half term, it's good for the community. It gets people excited that Windermere is still on the map. For a business, having them there is showing a lot of interest."
Brew Room is a family-run business that has been going since August 2022.
Gok Wan, born in Leicester, started as a hair and make-up artist but became famous through TV shows such as Gok's Fashion Fix and How To Look Good Naked. He was given an MBE for services to fashion and social awareness in 2019 and is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights. He has also become a well-known DJ.
Carlisle-born Helen Skelton has an illustrious TV and Radio career, fronting shows such as Countryfile, Blue Peter and BBC Radio 5 Live. She and her partner Jowita Przystal were finalists in the 2022 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
