FELL Brewery will be putting on a new 'spring sister festival' to its Oktoberfest at The Royal Oak in Cartmel.

The festival, named 'A Craic in the Oak' will be in the large riverside garden from Friday, March 22 to Sunday, March 24.

There will be free live entertainment, food and a large selection of drinks. Flookburgh-based Fell Brewery will create a beer specifically for the festival. It is not a ticketed event.

Nicola Pickup, who does marketing for Fell Brewery, said: "We had some really positive feedback from people who came to our Oktoberfest. It gets people through the door, we've got a massive beer garden."

Fell Brewery ran its Oktoberfest at The Royal Oak last year on September 22-24.
