A church in Askam will be joining a worldwide prayer event designed to acknowledge the struggles of Palestinian women.
The service will take place at Askam Methodist Church on Duddon Road on Wednesday, February 28 from 2pm, with the international event happening two days later.
This will feature the words of women from Palestine, which will be used and shared by churches across the globe.
It is said to be an opportunity to reflect on their continuing challenging times, encouraging Palestinian Christian women to 'keep searching for a deeper understanding among all the people who share the land, trusting for and hoping in the humanity of one another'.
The theme they have chosen is 'I Beg You...Bear With One Another in Love', which is based on Ephesians 4:1-7.
