Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team was called on Tuesday (February 13) to a walker who had taken a tumble and sustained an injury while descending Red Screes towards Scandale Pass.
A spokesperson for the team said: "We made our way up to the casualty, who had done the right thing by keeping themselves protected from the elements in a group shelter.
"They were treated and evacuated back down into the valley bottom."
The incident involved eight team members and it took three hours to be completed.
