THERE are four months to go until Another Fine Fest returns to the streets of Ulverston - and organisers are calling on the public to help raise funds to make it happen.

The celebration of live music, arts, and family fun takes place on the weekend of June 15 and 16 and is back for the 10th edition. The twice record-breaking and free festival promotes creativity, well-being, and community spirit.

Although the whole programme of events over the two days is free, the festival relies on the goodwill of those who attend with the size and scale of the event relying on crowdfunding donations.

A crowdfunding campaign is running on Crowdfunder until the middle of March with the aim of raising £18,000 for the running of Another Fine Fest. More than £2,000 has already been raised by supporters.

For the 10th edition, festival director Dave Crossley hopes to offer new shows and a vast spectrum of artistic activity and music which will depend on the success of their funding applications and the crowdfunder.

He said: "Last year more people donated to our crowdfunder than ever before - almost twice as many. 823 of you amazing folks helped to make Fine Fest a thing.

"We love you all so much and absolutely appreciate that we would not exist without you. With all the price rises this year, we really need more festival goers to donate just a couple of pounds if they are able or give our campaign a share if not.

"We totally appreciate how things are tight for all of us right now which is why we want to offer world class entertainment for free on our doorstep.
