NEWSQUEST Cumbria has thanked sponsors ahead of the 2024 Pride of Cumbria awards which aims to recognise all those who make Cumbria the best place to live, work and enjoy.

Cumbria’s biggest ever event celebrating heroes from all walks of life was launched last week to find and recognise those hidden gems in our communities.

Nominations are now being sought from the public for the Pride of Cumbria awards, with judges deciding on who will be this year’s ‘Pride of Cumbria’ in the following months.

The awards, which are now in their fourth year, hope to shine a light on the people who make our county such a great place to live and work.

GSK and NRL are joint headline sponsors for the Pride of Cumbria Awards.

Cumberland Council will sponsor a special recognition award named the 'Cumberland Council Special Recognition Award’ for the second year running, following the launch of the new authority, with the winner being announced on the night of the awards.

This year’s awards will take place at The Greenhill Hotel in Wigton on Thursday, June 13. Nominations for the awards will close on March 26.
