If you're looking for wild things to do this half term to keep the kids entertained, there are number of animal-related activities perfect for educating children in a fun way.
Organised by local animal rescue, Rachel's Wildlife, the events across Furness are cheap with money raised going towards the rescue and to the Duddon Inshore Rescue.
We've listed the activities below and where and when to meet.
Be a Conservationist for the day - Ormsgill Reservoir
Wednesday, February 14
Learn different techniques of wildlife surveying and all about footprint tunnels, bird
surveys, bird feeding which includes making some homemade bird feeders. There will also be Wildlife Bingo, a litterpick and more.
Don't forget to bring a packed Lunch.
11am-2pm

Look for wildlife and learn the local history of the area - Barrow Docks
Thursday, February 15
Participants will meet at the bridge. Starting by Salthouse Mills the group will walk along the old line down towards Morrisons looking a wildlife from birds, to stoats, to rabbits.
This is also a chance to learn about the history of the local area.

Beach Combing and Shark Egg Hunt - Duddon Inshore Rescue Boat House
Friday, February 16
Starting at the Boat House in Askam-in-Furness, the group will be walking down the beach and going on a hunt in the tidal lines looking for what animals we have in our seas along with taking a tour around the Boat House.
Tea, coffee, and juice available.
11am-12.30pm

Tracks and Signs for Beginners - Earnsie Bay
Saturday, February 17
Meeting at the Car Park at Westshore, Kite Surfing Club, participants will be focusing on footprints in the sand and other signs left behind. Enthusiasts can also learn about the history of tracks and signs.
11am-12.30pm
Price Per Participant: £3
Money raised from these events will go towards Rachel's wildlife rescue and to the Duddon Inshore Rescue.
It is recommended to book prior to the events.
