Pupils at a school in Ulverston have gone the extra mile in the effort of supporting their local hospice.
The students at Ulverston Victoria High School (UVHS) have been taking part in sponsored 5k walks and runs this past week to bring in funds for St Mary's Hospice.
Every year, UVHS students from years seven to 11 take part in an annual fitness term, which started in January and concludes with the fundraising activity.
A spokesperson from St Mary's said: "Their determination and effort have been truly inspiring.
"A big thank you from all of us at St Mary's Hospice for your amazing effort & support."
The students have already smashed their target of £3000 and there is still time for donations to come in.
