A popular stall that was once at Barrow market has now rolled out onto the high street.

MG Carpets in a family-run business that sells a variety of flooring from, carpets, rugs and vinyl and to artificial grass.

The business was run from a stall in Barrow market for around a year-and-a-half however it now has a new, much bigger premises on the corner of Duke Street and Dalton Road.

The unit had been empty for a number of years and now the bigger location can offer a wider range of styles, cuts and patterns.

MG Carpets is one of a few businesses that have recently relocated to Dalton Road including independent home furnishings store Lazy Days.

"It's great to see another business relocate to Dalton Road," said Barrow BID manager Paul Hodgson.

"MG Carpets is a great local family run business that supplies and fits all the flooring you could ever need.

"It's excellent to see a market stall expanded and also take up another unit that had been empty for a while."

The new shop officially opened last week on Monday, January 29.

"The new market space we were offered wasn't really big enough. Our carpets reach up to 13ft high so we so it's great that we now have the extra roof space we need.

"January and February are usually quite quiet for us but we have lots of sales on at the moment so we invite everyone to come down and have a look."

MG Carpets currently have huge reductions on all flooring products.
