A new business is hoping to arrive in Barrow's town centre, bucking the change of a number of shops closing down.

Brunch Barrow is set to be the latest addition to the town's list of local businesses with the sandwich shop set to be coming soon.

On Thursday a new social media page was set up which was used to tease the news.

The owners urged the public to stay tuned to find out more with a location for the shop still to be revealed.

The news should come as a positive for residents who have seen a number of larger businesses pull out of the area over recent years.

Portland Walk saw O2 leave in October joining the likes of Topshop, River Island and Pandora.
