Police and mountain rescue team members were called out to help a driver whose car slid off an icy road in a Lake District forest.
Cumbria police and (CMRT) Coniston Mountain Rescue Team were called out at around 11.30am on Wednesday to the higher part of Grizedale at Low Scar Wood.
The driver had got into difficulty and decided to stop to call for help before sliding right off the road.
A spokesperson for CMRT said: "Cumbria Police asked us to assist, and we dispatched a Land Rover to the scene. With the help of a passing farmer, the car was pushed away from danger and the driver was able return downhill the way he had come."
The rescue took an hour and 50 minutes with six volunteers who joined police in the rescue.
