Bender UK, based in Ulverston, has secured a contract to provide critical power supply solutions, serving four advanced theatres at the new £100m Harborne Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare UK.
The multi-speciality private hospital is scheduled to commence operations next year, boasting 50 private inpatient beds, 16 private day-case beds and four state-of-the-art operating theatres.
Moreover, the hospital offering modern outpatient services will include consultation rooms, an imaging suite and a fully-equipped day-case unit with outpatient chemotherapy and radiotherapy services.
A partnership between Harborne Hospital and University Hospitals Birmingham promises additional capacity for NHS patients, stretching across dedicated floors.
Operating theatres, two endoscopy rooms and the six-bed Intensive Treatment Unit has been bolstered by the Medical IT Power (IPS) installed by Bender UK.
The company is also responsible for supplying and commissioning equipment in the four theatres, including Bender CP9 theatre control panels, Merivaara Q-Flow, and full integration of audio-visual equipment, including HD cameras mounted within the lights and viewing screens.
In addition, multimovement ceiling-mounted service pendants will supply medical gases, power, and data alongside operating tables and intensive care beds.
Bender is also providing a complex medical technology integration system with third-party devices, including Siemens' equipment, for a Hybrid Theatre.
