A SOUTH Cumbria road will be closed due to roadworks.
A section of the U5789 near Windermere will be closed while works are carried out.
Westmorland and Furness Council made an order to enable Fibrus to carry out utility works, which came into operation on May 22 2023.
The effect of the order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding from its junction with the A591, extending predominately in a northerly direction to its junction with the U5796.
This is anticipated to start on January 15 and take up to eight days to complete.
An alternative route can be found via the U5796, C5054, U5791 and A591.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
