A MAN offered to have a threesome with two drunk teenage girls, a jury heard.

Cavan Bryan has gone on trial accused of sexually assaulting two underage girls in Barrow after offering to supply one with cocaine.

The 20-year-old faces six charges - three of sexual activity with a child, two of inciting sexual activity with a child and one of making an offer to supply cocaine.

Prosecutor Peter Barr told the jury at Preston Crown Court the defendant approached the two girls, who were 13 and 14, and asked them for directions to a nearby pub in the early hours of a morning in 2021.

Shortly after Bryan allegedly produced a bag of cocaine from his pocket, sniffed a line himself from a key before pressuring one of the girls to take it, the court was told.

The court heard one of the girls was ‘falling asleep drunk' when she stumbled into a bush full of nettles with the defendant carrying her on his back before placing her down on her side.

“What the prosecution says is that the defendant then took advantage of her whilst she was in this state,” Mr Barr said.

“He suggested to the two girls that he should have sex with them. The defendant said, ‘do you want a threesome’ and the girls said ‘no’.”

It was during this time that the defendant allegedly starting to kiss one of the girls on the lips while touching her breasts and sexually assaulting her, the court heard.

Mr Barr told the jury that the defendant was also said to be sexually assaulting the other girl at the same time by placing his hand on her bottom and touching her genitals over her clothing.

The court heard the girls had been drinking raspberry vodka mixed with lemonade.

One of the purported victims was able to identify the defendant the following morning after he had attempted to log into Snapchat on their phone, the court heard.

When interviewed over the allegations by police, Bryan, formerly of Barrow but now of Arnside Crescent, Morecambe, repeated to officers that he had done nothing wrong.

“We say the defendant took advantage of two young, vulnerable girls one of who was very drunk and he sexually assaulted them,” Mr Barr concluded.

The trial continues.
