AN ULVERSTON man will go on trial after pleading not guilty to a bomb hoax in the town last month.
Michael Wilson, of Steel Street, who is currently on remand at HMP Preston, appeared via video link at Preston Crown Court on January 5.
The 46-year-old is charged with placing an improvised electrical device at Steel Street on December 6 last year with the intention of inducing another to believe that it was likely to explode or ignite and cause personal injury or damage to the property.
The defendant was remanded in custody and will next appear in court on April 8 for a pre-trial review hearing before his trial on June 3 which has been listed for between three to four days.
