A mysterious artist has left a second painting at Ulverston's Hoad monument during Christmas time.
Lighthouse Keeper at the Sir John Barrow Monument, Graham Scrogham, made the pleasant discovery on December 29 whilst he walked up to the monument with his dog Charlie.
The painting appears to be of a dog, though not a Cocker Spaniel like Charlie, and has the word 'unconditional' written above.
On the back was written 'Make compassion the new fashion' complete with a love heart.
Graham said: "I came up to the monument to find a beautiful painting had been left at the door.
"This is in addition to the one that was left here in 2022 and has now been placed inside the monument.
"A similar painting was apparently left up at the Trigg point on Birkrigg - seems we have a bit of a phantom artist."
The painting that was left at the same time twelve months ago appeared to be of a Betty Boop-like character walking her dog up to the monument with the words 'Share Smiles'.
'I hope this smile makes you smile - Merry Christmas' was also written on the back.
Graham added: "Thank you to whoever painted them, you are very talented. The latest painting also got Charlie’s seal of approval."
