A WINDERMERE woman has pleaded guilty to eight counts of fraud by abuse of position dating back to 2013.
When the fraud occurred, Linda Murray, of Ellerthwaite Road, was a boss at Let Me Lettings, a Wigan-based company.
She is being prosecuted by Wigan Council's trading standards.
Eight properties in the Wigan area were affected by Murray not placing money into the government's Deposit Protection Service, which is meant to hold money in a safe place for tenants until the end of the tenancy. Let Me Lettings would do this on behalf of landlords.
The forty-year-old will hear her sentence on January 8 at Bolton Crown Court.
