A MAN was caught drug driving behind the wheel of his Volkswagen Passat while 13 times over the legal limit for ketamine.
George Isaac Bennett, of William Street, Ulverston was found with 218 ug/L of Benzoyclecgonine and 260 ug/L of ketamine in his blood while driving on North Lonsdale Road on July 29 this year.
The legal limits are 50 ug/L and 20 ug/L.
The 28-year-old was sentenced at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on November 23 where he pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to the two charges.
Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order with a requirement to complete 120 hours of unpaid work and 10 RAR days.
He was also banned from driving for a period of 42 months, required to undertake a drug rehabilitation programme under the direction of Recovery Steps and ordered to pay £85 in court costs.
