Employability experts Inspira are aiding the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in recruiting local work coach personnel.

The DWP's Barrow office is currently seeking customer-focused individuals with essential skills, commitment, and capabilities to provide exceptional public service as a work coach.

The support provided by Inspira is multifaceted.

Firstly, a twilight session has been organised to support those potentially unavailable during conventional working hours, helping them to understand more about the roles available and the application process.

The twilight session, taking place between 5.30pm-7.30pm on December 13, will offer an insight into the skills and behaviours needed, and identify transferable skills

Secondly, Inspira is offering advice to DWP's own claimants who may qualify for the role.

Support in preparing their CV, personal statement, and honing interview skills will be provided through up-skilling sessions.

Judith Wilkinson, Partnership Manager at DWP said: “DWP have asked Inspira to deliver these sessions as they have an excellent track record making a positive difference in supporting people who are looking for work and those wishing to change or improve their careers.”

Julia Winder, Area Operations Manager for Inspira, mentioned the enthusiasm of her team in assisting with DWP recruitment.

She said: “Our team in Barrow are pleased to be working with DWP to assist with their recruitment needs.

"At Inspira, we're dedicated to helping local individuals improve their skills and open up new career opportunities. For those who have been out of work for an extended period, we recognise that extra support and guidance may be necessary to prepare them for the application and selection process, and to build their confidence."

Parties interested in the work coach role with DWP are encouraged to attend the twilight session.

Booking on to the session is described as 'quick and easy' and can be done by calling the Barrow office of Inspira at 01229 824052.

The Jobcentre Plus (JCP) in Barrow will also host '1-2-1 tours' on December 4 and 5.

These tours, taking place in one-hour slots, provide valuable insights for interested applicants.

Bookings can be done through Eventbrite.
