A MAN has been fined after he arrived back into the country during the COVID-19 pandemic without providing any documentation.
Dean Martin McClarey, of Biggar Bank on Walney, was on a flight from Charles De Gaulle in Paris to Manchester on March 11 2021 when he arrived at customs without disclosing any information on his Passenger Locator Form.
At the time, one of the strict orders of flying internationally by the Government was to fulfill this requirement.
Magistrates at South Cumbria Magistrates Court on November 21 fined the 31-year-old man £300 and ordered that he pay costs of £310 to the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as a £30 surcharge to fund victim services.
A further charge of failing to possess a coronavirus testing package was dismissed.
