A 33-year-old is due to appear in court charged with driving while allegedly over the specified controlled drug limit.
Alejandro Martin Lucena, of Laurel Road in Bowness-on-Windermere, is alleged to have been driving a BMW X5 VRM on Lake Road in Bowness with 416ug of Benzoylecgonine in 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 50ug.
The offence is said to have taken place on July 16 this year.
He will give an indication of his plea at South Cumbria Magistrates Court in Barrow on Wednesday.
