The Forum in Barrow has become a member of a national scheme designed to help schools fund trips for pupils.
The events centre has joined the Great British School Trip initiative which is entering its second year in partnership with Hyundai.
The move means that local schools can apply for bursaries to help pay for trips to the Forum, including for travel costs and theatre tickets.
Ashley Andrew, President of Hyundai Motor UK, said: "I’m extremely proud to officially announce that Hyundai’s Great British School Trip programme will be taking place for a second year this September, as we help even more children across the country attend school trips."
Bursaries through the scheme can be applied for here while trips to the Forum can be organised by emailing belinda.haughin@westmorlandandfurness.gov.uk.
