A GROUP of metal detectorists from Furness will be on the BBC show Lost and Found in the Lakes with Helen Skelton.

The Unearthed team said that the show will be airing early next year.

A spokesperson from Unearthed said: "A team of dedicated detectorists and divers will be searching for lost items and trying to reunite them with previous owners."

They said that the show will be a 'huge hit' and that it is 'hugely exciting' to be involved. Duncan Scott from Furness Diving Club has also previously said that he is involved with the show.

Unearthed is led by Dalton man Graeme Rushton, who also sells metal detecting equipment under the same name. They travel around Cumbria to find buried treasure.

Recently 16-year-old Bailey Gaitskell from the group found five silver Edwardian coins in a field near Penrith.
