A team from Barrow Police spent the morning on Friday with locals currently going through adult education.

It was an opportunity for those involved to ask the officers questions, as well as trying on some police kit and equipment.

The goal was to promote the avenues open to individuals in Barrow that can help them kickstart a career in the force.

Adult Learning in Barrow offers a wide range of courses across to allow people to either gain a qualification or learn a new skill.

The group are a part of a national campaign designed to help people learn basic skills in maths and English, gaining qualifications such as GCSEs to help with future employment.
