WE’VE compiled a list of bonfires and firework displays taking place in South Cumbria in celebration of Bonfire Night this weekend.
November 3
Hayes Garden World Fireworks Night
Where – Lake Road, Ambleside
When – November 3, Gates open 18:00 pm, curfew 21:00 pm
Cost – Adult £15, Child (3-15) £10. Tickets must be purchased online beforehand here or by calling 015394 33434
Additional information – Price includes 10% off Christmas items on the night.
Coniston Sport & Social Centre Bonfire Night
Where - Shepherds Bridge Ln, Coniston
When – November 3, Gates open: 16:00 pm, fire and BBQ from 18:00 pm, fireworks at 19:00 pm with live music from 20:00 pm
Cost – Free but donations are welcome
Additional information – Live music from Bowney Peak and Powney with cash only bottle bar and BBQ. Indoor bar open as normal.
November 4
Lindal Moor Cricket Club
Where – Pennington Lane, Lindal-in-Furness, Ulverston
When - November 4, Gates open: 17:00 pm for 18:30 pm display. Curfew 22:00 pm
Cost – £8 Adult, £5 Children, £15 Family (2+2). Card and cash payments both available on the night
Additional information – There will be hot food served including a BBQ, a licensed bar, candy floss, shopping stalls for glitter tattoos and light up toys, as well as music from the Aero Bees.
Cartmel Fell Community Trust Bonfire and Fireworks
Where – Cartmel Fell Parish Hall, Grange-over-Sands
When – November 4, Gates open: 18:00 pm. Curfew: 20:00 pm.

Additional information – Mulled Wine, cash bar and a raffle, as well as a pumpkin carving competition. Both indoor and outdoor seating available.
Windermere Rugby League Football Club Annual Fireworks Extravaganza
Where – Dawes Meadow, Longlands Road, Barrow
When – November 4, Gates open from 17:30 pm for 19:00 pm display. Curfew 22:30 pm
Cost – £10 Adult, £5 Child (5-14), £25 Family (2+2). Book your tickets online to guarantee the best price by clicking here
Additional information: Three live bands including music from The Elderly Brothers and Drum Nation, fire performer, street food stalls and two bars for Mulled Wine and Real Ale.
No dogs allowed, or personal fireworks/sparklers permitted.
Hawkshead Bonfire & Fireworks
Where – Hawkshead Recreational Ground
When – November 4, Gates open: 17:00 pm, bonfire lit at 18:00 pm, fireworks from 18:30 pm. Curfew: 22:00 pm
Cost – Free but donations are welcomed
Additional information: Burgers, hot dogs, mulled wine and beer available to buy, as well as hot and cold drinks.
All donations go towards the cost of next year's firework display which exceeds £5,000.
November 5
Vickerstown FC Firework Display
Where – Park Vale Sports Centre, Mill Lane, Walney
When – November 5, Gates Open 16:00 pm, curfew 21:00 pm
Cost - £4 Adult, £3 Child, £12 Family (2+2)
Additional information – Spectators to watch from the running track, music, food, drink and treats.
Hindpool Tigers ARLFC Firework Display
Where – Brisbane Park, Duke Street, Barrow
When – November 5, Gates open at 16:00 pm
Cost – Adults £7, Child £5, Family £25 (2+3)
Additional information – Light show, music, funfair games, as well as food and drink on offer.
Furness Rugby Club’s Bonfire Night extravaganza
Where – The Strawberry Grounds, Croslands Park Road, Barrow
When – November 5, Gates open at 17:30 pm, bonfire lit at 18:30 pm, fireworks at 19:00 pm. Curfew: 22:00 pm
Cost - £3 p/p or £10 Family (2+2) – Payment by CASH only
Additional information - Clubhouse bar open throughout with usual stalls selling food and drink.
Hawcoat Park RUFC Bonfire Night
Where - Hawcoat Lane, Barrow
When – November 5, Gates open at 18:00 pm, bonfire lit approximately 18:30 pm, fireworks approximately 19:00 pm
Cost - £5 Adult, £3 Child – both card and cash payments available on the gate
Additional information – A limited number of tickets are on sale for Hawcoat Park’s ‘Pre Bommy Night Party’ for the same price as the original ticket. Doors open at 15:00 pm and tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
There will be hot and cold drinks, burgers, hot dogs and an open bar and activities for kids
Sedbergh School Firework Display
Where – Busk Lane, between School House and Sedgwick House
When – November 5, Bonfire lit at approximately 18:30 pm with fireworks at 19:00 pm
Cost – Free
Additional information – Avoid parking on Busk Lane.
November 6
Dalton United Firework Display
Where - Railway Meadow, Beckside Road, Dalton
When – November 6, Gates open at 18:00 pm, bonfire lit 18:30 pm, fireworks at 19:00 pm
Cost – Adult £5, Child £3, £15 Family (2+2)
