A WELL-known restaurant and hotel are both being withdrawn from sale after the businesses 'exceeded expectations' following reinvestment.
Barrow's Dunes Hotel and The Townhouse.211 were put up for sale for more than £3 million combined by owners Lucidity Group ten months ago.
But both sites are being taken off the market by the company, a chain 'specialising in prestigious, luxurious stays'.
Bosses claim the businesses have 'defied the odds' in a year marked by unpredictability and uncertainty.
Lucidity Group said despite 'substantial challenges' seen in the hospitality sector, the businesses have exceeded expectations 'with a steadfast commitment to providing exceptional service and memorable experiences'.
It said to follow 'significant' reinvestment from owner Ken Wilson, including renovations and upgrades.
The company has also praised 'the dedication and tireless efforts of the management team and staff'.
A Lucidity Group spokesman said: "A testament to their remarkable year, the Dunes Hotel has had the honour of hosting over 20 weddings in the past year, with more planned in the coming weeks and months.
"These events have showcased the timeless charm and elegance of the Dunes Hotel, reaffirming its status as a premier wedding venue in the South Lakes.
"In addition to their wedding and leisure business, both the Dunes Hotel and Townhouse.211 have experienced a surge in corporate bookings and private functions.
"This increase in corporate business and private events has been a key element in supporting their growing trade, providing a versatile venue for a wide range of functions.
"As the Dunes Hotel and Townhouse.211 are taken off the market, their continued dedication to exceptional guest experiences remains unwavering.
"The management and staff look forward to welcoming guests for Christmas parties throughout December, hosting events in 2024 and helping to create many more memorable moments and events in the years to come."
Dalton Road restaurant and bar The Townhouse was put up for sale for £1.5 million, while the hotel, on the outskirts of the town, was on the market for £1.85 million.
In 2020, Lucidity announced a new management team to ‘fit the group for the future’ and 'ensure its long term success’.
