The Forum in Barrow has thanked the town for backing the theatre after it announced three sold-out shows this week.

Performances from Marti Pellow, the Bootleg Beatles and the Magic of Motown have seen residents put their hands deep into their pockets.

A spokesperson for the organisation branded the area as 'brilliant' and said: "Thank you for the continued support."

Scottish singer Pellow, who headed the band Wet Wet Wet for 28 years, is bringing his show 'Pellow Talk', to Barrow on Tuesday.

A special evening to mark the 60th anniversary of the Please Please Me LP will see the Bootleg Beatles performing the legendary band's most famous hits on Saturday.

Before that, Friday sees 'The Magic of Motown' come to Cumbria for its 18th year.

All three shows have been fully supported by locals, giving the theatre confidence that it can continue to thrive.
