A NUMBER of households will be left without electricity tomorrow (Saturday) due to a planned powercut.
Electricity North West has announced that 153 houses near Dalton will have their power cut so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide electricity to the property.
The power cut will affect properties with the postcode: LA12 9RW, LA12 9RL, LA12 9RP, LA12 9RN, LA12 9RJ, LA12 9SH, LA12 9RQ, LA12 9RH, LA12 9RG, LA12 9RR, LA12 9RY, LA12 9ST.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: "We invest millions every year into maintaining the local network. This helps us to ensure all areas of the North West region have a safe and secure supply of electricity for the future. Sometimes, this requires us to temporarily interrupt your supply so our engineers can work safely.
"We will always notify you in advance before we plan to interrupt your supply, unless it is an emergency situation we will not notify you."
