A SECTION of a road linking the Newbarns area of Barrow to Roose has closed for urgent repair works.
A five-day closure notice has been put in place by Westmorland and Furness Council on a 110-metre section of Flass Lane heading south from the Riverside Gardens junction.
The closure notice extends to pedestrians and cyclists, other than those living in the affected area.
The notice states: "This notice will be in force for a period not exceeding five days from 18 September 2023. It is expected that the works will take two days."
An alternative route for vehicles will be available via the unrestricted sections of A5087 Roose Road, Friars Lane and Flass Lane.
