DOZENS of households will be left without electricity next week due to a planned powercut.
Electricity North West has announced that 25 houses near Ormsgill, Barrow will have their power cut so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide electricity to the properties and businesses.
The power cut is due to take place on September 22 and will affect properties with the postcode: LA13 0PL, LA13 0PJ, LA13 0PH.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: "We invest millions every year into maintaining the local network. This helps us to ensure all areas of the North West region have a safe and secure supply of electricity for the future. Sometimes, this requires us to temporarily interrupt your supply so our engineers can work safely.
"We will always notify you in advance before we plan to interrupt your supply, unless it is an emergency situation we will not notify you."
