People in Barrow will be given the chance to try their hand at bellringing this September.
St James the Great Church will be opening its doors for the weekend across the 15th and 16th as part of the annual Heritage Open Days.
Visitors will get to learn about the history of the building and the surrounding area, as well as being invited to ring the bells.
Tower Captain Andrew Pollock said: "I am particularly interested in looking for new recruits to the bellringing team from those living in Barrow and Walney in particular but also further afield in Furness.
"There are a couple of opportunities to start learning to ring in the programme on the day and ideally they can register further interest afterwards."
The first session will take place on the Friday between 7pm and 9pm with tours and performances commencing on the Saturday.
