A TOWN centre takeaway could be turned into holiday accommodation if plans are approved.
A planning application has been submitted to turn the Sizzle In takeaway in Ulverston into a self-catering holiday unit.
The applicant submitted the plans for 1-3 Union Street to Westmorland and Furness Council.
The proposal says: "Change of use of the building on the ground floor from hot food takeaway to self-catering holiday unit.
"The existing shop front will be partially covered from inside using shuttering/tongue and groove cladding to create privacy and allow natural light at the same time.
"The entrance will be through the existing door on Union Street so there is no great impact on the appearance of the building from the outside."
The applicant wants to create two bedrooms, a bathroom and an entrance/exit area on one side of the property and a kitchen/living area and storage on the other side.
