Chetwynde School is proudly celebrating the outstanding achievements of its students in this year's GCSE exams.

With an impressive performance across the board, the school's commitment to academic excellence and personalised support has paid off.

Headteacher Steve Jefferson expressed his pride in the students. He said: "We are incredibly proud of all our students. These results are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and resilience, especially given the challenges of the past few years.

"We would also like to recognise the unwavering dedication of our staff and the continuous support from parents and guardians.

"This is a collective achievement and highlights the family feel of the school.

"It isn’t all about getting the top grades, it is about every young person reaching their potential and we are extremely proud of every win they have achieved."

Student Hargun Ghuman achieved an exceptional eight grade 9s and two grade 8s, Aisha Ranjith Sheema achieved three grade 9s and three grade 8s.

Other notable achievers include Emily-Mae Renney with three grade 9s and two grade 8s, Imogen Stoker three grade 9s and three grade 8s, Isabelle Farish with one grade 9 and three grade 8s, and Thaddeus Holmes with one grade 9 and one grade 8.

In a touching moment, Karen Greenall, a mother and teacher at Chetwynde, witnessed her twin daughters, Tilly and Maya, collect their GCSE results.

Tilly achieved four grade 9s and three grade 8s, while Maya achieved two grade 9s and three grade 8s.

Having been part of the school since Kindergarten, with Karen teaching them PE throughout their school years, it was a proud moment for her to see both girls achieve grade nines.

Beyond academic achievements, Chetwynde School values the importance of holistic education.

The staff celebrates the personal growth, teamwork, leadership, and other important skills that students have developed during their time at the school.
