BARROW Raiders have announced they will be showing the final of the Women’s World Cup on a big screen TV on Sunday at Craven Park for fans to roar on the Lionesses.
England play Spain at the Olympic Stadium in Sydney with the match kicking off at 11am.
The match is a repeat of the Euro 2022 quarter final where Barrow’s very own Lioness Georgia Stanway scored the winning goal in extra time.
The gates and MKM Marquee Bar will be open at the stadium from 10:30am.
Sarina Wiegman’s side topped their group in the group stage before edging past Nigeria in a tense penalty shootout in the last eight.
The Lionesses then came from behind to beat Columbia 2-1 in the quarter-finals before most recently beating co-host nation Australia in the semi-finals.
