THE theatre adaptation of the David Walliams best seller Bad Dad is coming to Ford Park in Ulverston later this month.

Heartbreak Productions will put on an open-air performance on Saturday August 26 from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Bad Dad is about the highs and lows of a father-son relationship.

Gilbert is a local celebrity in the community and goes by the name of Gilbert the Great for being the 'king of the track.' However a tragic accident puts an end to his track-racing days.

To provide for his son Frank he has to resort to desperate measures and agrees to become a get-away driver for the local baddies.

The production asks the audience to 'join Frank and Gilbert as they navigate their way through car chases and convicts in the struggle to escape the clutches of the local crime lord and clear Gilbert's name.'
