AN OPEN air theatre event celebrating the works of Shakespeare will take place at Ford Park later this month.
Machamlear is billed as a 'unique experiment' that will attempt to find out which play is the best the Bard had to offer at the Ulverston venue on Saturday, August 13.
Round one of the competition Will of the People will be pitting Macbeth, Hamlet and King Lear against each other. Actors will make their case to the audience for why their tragedy should be performed that evening to win a place in the next round of the competition.
The Heartbreak Productions event invites audiences to come and cast their vote. MacHamLear is a piece of writing by playwright Michael Davis.
The event will last from 7pm until 9.30pm. Tickets are £15 for an adult, £10 for a child, and £45 for a two-adult two-child family.
