OFFICERS investigating an incident on the M6 yesterday (25 July) are appealing for any witnesses or people with dashcam footage to come forward.

Police received a report at 9.25pm of a concern for welfare on the M6 southbound at Tebay between junctions 37 and 38.

Both carriageways were closed while emergency services attended, and the road was reopened at 11.32pm.

A woman was taken to hospital via air ambulance with injuries described as serious.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what occurred. They are also keen to hear from anyone with a dashcam who thinks they may have recorded anything which could assist officers with their investigation.
