Three Cumbrian Parks have received top marks in the Parkdean Resorts People Engagement Survey 2023.

Gatebeck, Fallbarrow and Limefitt Holiday Parks standout for their Teamwork and Ownership, Innovation, Collaboration and Communication, and Leadership.

In a company-wide survey, 100% of employees at Gatebeck agreed with the statements ‘We are encouraged to be innovative even though some of our initiatives may not succeed’, and ‘At Parkdean Resorts we act on promising new or innovative ideas’.

All employees at Fallbarrow agreed ‘We hold ourselves and our team members accountable for results’, and ‘Day-to-day decisions here demonstrate that quality and improvements are top priorities’.

Employees at Limefitt agreed ‘Other departments at Parkdean Resorts collaborate well with us to get the job done’, and ‘I have confidence in the leaders at Parkdean Resorts’. 

More than 5,500 full-time employees completed the survey, in which 94% of all employees agreed with the statement, “I know what I need to do to be successful in my role”.

A total of 92% agreed “My manager genuinely cares about my wellbeing”, and 87% agreed with the statement “I am proud to work for Parkdean Resorts”.

In addition, 91% of team members across the company agreed “I feel I am part of a team”, and 88% agreed with the statement “I have access to the learning and development I need to do my job well.”

The number of employees who agreed that Parkdean is committed to caring for its Parks, People and Planet was 29 points higher than the hospitality sector 2023 benchmark.

Earlier this year, Parkdean Resorts announced a recruitment drive to hire 11,000 people, including cleaners, bar team members, chefs, kitchen team members, front of house team members, receptionists, lifeguards, and security officers.

Across 66 award-winning parks, Parkdean welcomed more than 3.5million visitors last year, who delivered record customer feedback scores of 4.4/5 on TripAdvisor, 4.3/5 on Facebook and 4.0/5 on Google.

At the 21/22 British Travel Awards, the public also voted Parkdean Resorts as the Best Company for UK Family Holidays, Best Company for UK Parks and Lodges Holidays and Best Company for UK Breaks Holidays.

Parkdean Resorts recently announced a partnership with The Prince’s Trust, as part of its commitment to embrace younger generations. Parks will join the ‘Get Hired’ scheme to help young people struggling to find the right job, and will participate in the Trust’s “Get Into” programme.
