WE rounded up some of the best films to go and see at the cinema this weekend.
1 Oppenheimer
The biographical thriller film follows the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a theoretical physicist who developed the first nuclear weapons as part of the Manhattan Project.
The film received critical acclaim, with particular praise for Christopher Nolan's direction, cast performances, screenplay, cinematography and visuals.
2 Barbie
The first live-action Barbie film comes to the big screen with Margot Robbie as the titular character and Ryan Gosling as Barbie's iconic other half, Ken.
The pair go on a journey of self-discovery after their expulsion from Barbieland. The film received praise for its humour, production design, costumes and performances.
3 Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
Legendary archaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a dial that can change the course of history.
Indie teams up with his estranged goddaughter and it also features John Rhys-Davies and Karen Allen who reprise their roles as Sallah and Marian Ravenwood.
4 Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
The mission - to track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands.
Featuring Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg and Rob Delaney.
5 Insidious: The Red Door
The horror franchise’s original cast returns for the final chapter. Father and son team Josh and Dalton must journey deeper into The Further than ever before to lay their demons to rest.
6 Elemental
Follow characters Ember and Wade, in a city where fire, water and land residents live together.
7 Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga. Miles and Gwen are catapulted across the Multiverse after reuniting.
8 Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Return to the action and spectacle that first captured moviegoers around the world 14 years ago with the original Transformers.
9 The Little Mermaid
Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure, longs to find out more about the world of humans above the sea.
10 No Hard Feelings
Jennifer Lawrence produces and stars in No Hard Feelings. Maddie (Lawrence) discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, before he leaves for college.
