A DOG that was found loose has now been reunited with its owner.
Barrow Police said the dog was found on Nearfield Walk in Barrow last night (July 10) at approximately 11.45pm.
The dog, a blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier was taken to Barrow Police Station and then the Barrow Borough Kennels on Walney.
Police issued an appeal to track down its owner and hours later shared the good news they had been found.
A spokesperson for Barrow Police said: "Thank you to everyone who shared our attempts to reunite the dog and owner this morning.
"We can confirm the owner has come forward and dog is back with its owner.
"Thanks again to everyone who assisted."
